As a possible franchise partner, one will pass a multistage approval process over several weeks. This way both parties will have the chance to get to know each other and as an end result, decide to enter into a strategic partnership.

Both options are possible. If you want to open a burgergrill with one or more partners, it has to be clarified in advance, who will be the operative partner (manager). Of course, all partners have to go through the same application process.
The entry fee accounts for 40.000 € and is due upon signing the contract.
The franchising contract will be signed separately for every single burgergrill you decide to open up. The term of the contract is 10 years and includes a renewal option (2×5 years).
Franchising fee: the monthly fee is 5% of the net sales for the right to use the brand as well as the continuous support of the head office.
Marketing fee: the monthly marketing fee amounts to 1% of the net sales and will be paid into the marketing fund every franchise partner is involved in.
As a franchise partner you will start with one burgergrill. The opening of other burgergrills in the future is possible, as long as all operational criteria are met. The opening of further burgergrills is subject to a detailed development plan and timeframe. Within certain regions, our franchise partners can be granted territorial protection.
We are expanding nationwide in cities with about 70.000 inhabitants. At the beginning of the application process, we are considering your desired locations as well as the developmental potential.
The training will take part in one of our burgergrills over a period of between three weeks to three months – depending on your experience. Upon opening your own HANS IM GLÜCK the training has to be completed.
The total investment of the franchise partner depends on the size and the equipment state of the premises. It ranges between 700.000 € and 1.100.000 €.
The costs can vary strongly, depending on the premise’s charateristics such as:
– Bare brickwork
– Already existing gastronomical business, which has to be “partly” modified
– A retail property, which has to be modified completely
The required equity capital should at least be 30% of the total investment – so it ranges at about 230.000€ – 360.000 €.
The acquisition and the development of a location is under supervision of the franchise partner as an independent and autonomous entrepreneur. The franchisor is not financially involved in the development of the burgergrill.
It is impossible to provide a general answer. Our experience shows that it takes about three months from the application until the contract is signed. Another three to six months pass until the opening of the burgergrill. The timeframe however depends on the location, the construction progress and your HANS IM GLÜCK training.
